Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the ground for construction by digging trenches, leveling, and compacting soil.
- Lay foundations and assist with the installation of drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and tools, such as diggers and bulldozers.
- Ensure that all groundwork is completed safely and meets required standards.
- Assist in the installation of site utilities, including water, gas, and electricity lines.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment used for groundwork.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in groundwork or a related field.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Competencies
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings or site plans.
