Key Responsibilities

Prepare the ground for construction by digging trenches, leveling, and compacting soil.
Lay foundations and assist with the installation of drainage systems.
Operate heavy machinery and tools, such as diggers and bulldozers.
Ensure that all groundwork is completed safely and meets required standards.
Assist in the installation of site utilities, including water, gas, and electricity lines.
Maintain and clean tools and equipment used for groundwork.

Job Requirements

Previous experience in groundwork or a related field.
Ability to operate heavy machinery and tools.
Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
Good physical fitness and ability to work in all weather conditions.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions.

Competencies

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings or site plans.
Good communication skills, both with supervisors and team members.
